FAQs

What makes your approach different from other brand strategists?

I do not focus on "good design". That’s a commodity. I focus on "Human Truth." I excavate the raw energy that drove you to start your business and engineer it into a strategic rudder. This protects you from the "Sea of Sameness" and ensures your brand survives the rise of automation.

Why is this human-centric approach so effective?

In a marketplace flooded by automation, the decision to buy remains fundamentally emotional. We achieve results by aligning your unique human energy with your brand because relatability builds trust, and trust is the ultimate shortcut to a purchase. While algorithms can replicate style, they cannot replicate soul. By prioritising emotional intelligence over artificial intelligence, we create a connection far more powerful than any fleeting trend.

What is the "Context Protocol"?

This is the 2026 upgrade to brand strategy. It is a precise, text-based code document I create for you. It is designed specifically to train AI models and guide marketing teams on your unique voice. It ensures that whether you use ChatGPT or a junior copywriter, the output sounds exactly like you.

Why do you focus on legacy over trends?

We have bred a society lacking real craft. I reject the "hit-and-run" creative service model. My goal is to help you build an asset that stands out from trends and time, something that holds its value like a mid-century home or a vintage watch.

Who are your ideal clients?

I work with those who are tired of the conventional. Whether you are a startup needing a distinctive foundation, or an established business experiencing "drift," if you want to build a generational legacy rather than a short-term marketing gamble, we are a strong fit.

How do we collaborate?

I am a partner, not a supplier. I act as an objective Creative Director and an extension of your team. I tell the truth, even when it is hard to hear. We call this "Radical Candor." I am invested in your long-term growth, ensuring no message goes out diluted.

Why do you use value-based pricing?

Hourly billing aligns incentives incorrectly. My rates ensure your investment is proportional to the value created for your business—specifically, the value of having a brand that does not need to be reinvented every two years.

What are your own passions?

I have a profound love for nature, which I experience through daily walks in the reserve on my doorstep with my partner, Maike, and our Africanis dog, Olive.

This appreciation extends to aesthetics, particularly mid-century and modernist influence in graphic design, architecture, and products.

I'm fascinated by a bygone era when people created lasting heirlooms that continue to inspire us today. This led me to create the Werdmuller Resource, dedicated to preserving South Africa's architectural and cultural heritage, aiming to safeguard interest in these sites before they are lost.

For 11 years, I lived in Swellendam, a town with a country lifestyle that we’re planning to return to. Since 2019, I've served on the Swellendam Municipality Aesthetic Committee, and in 2016, I founded the Friends of Marloth to assist CapeNature with the Marloth Nature Reserve.

Beyond this, my German roots give me a deep appreciation for detail, technology, and performance, and what we have achieved with this. Whether it's the strategy of Formula 1 or the thrill of airshows and flying, I'm always ready to have a heated discussion about Max Verstappen or talk your ear off about airplanes!
